The triangle is the most stable and yet also the most unstable geometric form. Like a wooden stool that constantly wobbles but never tips over. No wonder triple constellations are so fascinating.

In her first commissioned work for the Schauspielhaus Zürich, author Barbi Marković examines the relationship between three sisters. These three are so close to each other that the slightest movement inevitably causes them pain. They live a brutal relationship without any filters, without distance, and without self-control. They play a strategic game. Because the three sisters are mercilessly related to each other. "Like a spaghetti on a plate. You know you're one of them, but you can't figure out which." Here, strong female characters fight out life's struggles, annoyances, and joys among themselves. The parallel to Chekhov's famous play is both pure coincidence and full intention.

Marković creates a balancing act with her texts: humorous, entertaining, light, and at the same time profound, sad, and surreal, her texts unfold before us. She astutely pinpoints the most mundane habits and, at the same time, takes us into strangely bizarre worlds. Now, Marković's writing finds the ideal accomplice in the direction: Christina Tscharyiski skillfully translates contemporary drama to the stage. With a clever sense for the spoken word and great passion for powerful acting, she approaches the characters and storylines. Together with an ensemble of strong actresses, she brings this brand-new text to its world premiere at the start of the year.
