Born in 1975, Rahel Hubacher trained as a goldsmith before discovering theater in New York. After acting studies in Zurich, her first engagement was at Theater Basel, collaborating with Rafael Sanchez and Sebastian Nübling. She toured internationally with Rimini Protokoll’s «Mnemopark» (2006–08) and created installations for Matthias Lilienthal’s «X-Wohnungen». She was an ensemble member at Theater Neumarkt (2008–10) and a guest actor at Schauspielhaus Zürich (2011–2018). Alongside collaborative theater projects and film work, she taught at the Zurich University of the Arts (2015–2025) and earned a Master’s in Psychology (ZHAW, 2024). In 2025/26, she joins the Schauspielhaus Zürich ensemble as its newly established ensemble psychologist.
