"Are you the one? Is love truly blind, or is love really too hot to handle? Let's be honest: What does love mean today? In a time when we're moving further and further apart, the decision to meet each other with compassion and love is revolutionary.

And so, the stage here becomes a fictional dating show where the protagonists try to find their own path to love in this confusing world full of superficialities and clichés that dictate how one should be and look. From challenge to challenge, they grapple with topics like ghosting or racism in online dating. They invite the audience to reflect on what structures influence our ideas of love. What desires, expectations, and experiences do young people, in particular, bring to these topics when they themselves are constantly confronted with discrimination, exclusion, and prejudice?

This play illuminates various facets of love. Not just romantic connections, but also friendships—all relationships that carry this powerful energy with which we can change no less than the world in dark political times. It's a match!

Mable Preach works with an ensemble of professional and non-professional actors and inaugurates the Matchbox as the stage for the Junges Schauspielhaus with a world premiere. People aged 12 and older can look forward to a playful and profound search for love.
